1) Whenever a player's lumber is reduced, the warning is displayed to all players.

2) When more than one player have their lumber reduced, the warnings displayed to them (and to everyone else) have increasing (by +10) lumber limit values. I.e., if two players had more than 40 lumber at the end of level 4, everyone will see something like this (not a quotation, don't remember exactly the way the map phrases this):
The lumber limit is 40, but you have 59
you've lost 19 lumber
The lumber limit is 50, but you have 48
you've lost -2 lumber
Yes, the displayed value can go negative.
I do not know whether this affects the amount of lumber actually taken or not.
